We'll take you to three excellent wineries for facility tours, tastings, on-site shopping, pizza at Rocky Waters Winery, cheese at Massbach Ridge Winery, bottled water on board the bus, and a relaxing carefree day. Learn the history behind the Upper Mississippi Wine Region and Galena as your professional driver takes you into the past. Tour includes transportation from your B&B, hotel, or remote location in Galena, IL or Eagle Ridge Inn / Galena Territory, tasting fees, facility tours, lunch, and bottled water on board the bus. Winery/Council Hill Station Tour
​​Experience 2 excellent wineries for wine tasting, pizza, cheese and on-site shopping and an old 1854 railroad depot called Council Hill Station with 99 beers, wine, mixers, and live music. We'll pick you up at your lodging or remote location in Galena or the Galena Territory/Eagle Ridge Inn. Along the way, learn the history behind the Upper Mississippi Valley Wine Region and Galena as your professional driver takes you into the past. Wineries on the tour are Rocky Waters Winery & Vineyard and Galena Cellars Vineyard. Price covers climate-controlled transportation, tasting fees, food, your first drink at Council Hill Station and bottled water on-board the Galena Wine Tours bus. This tour is available from 11-3 Wednesday through Sunday and 4-8 on Friday and Saturday. We need a minimum number of any 6 people for this tour to go out each day. Pick up and drop off times may vary depending on where you are staying.

Join us for a scenic ride through the beautiful countryside of Jo Daviess County and a visit to two of my favorite places in and around Galena. We'll pick you up at your lodging in Galena or the Galena Territory/Eagle Ridge Inn and visit Galena Cellars Vineyard for a wine tasting along with some tasty cheese and on-site shopping, listen to live music while enjoying one of 99 beers, a glass of wine or mixed drink at an old 1854 railroad depot called Council Hill Station. Cost covers transportation, tasting fees, cheese and bottled water on-board the bus. This tour is available from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm. Wednesday through Sunday. Pick up and drop off times may vary depending on where you are staying. We need a minimum number of any six people for this tour to go out each day.

"Great Experience 70th Birthday"
My wife and I traveled to Dubuque to celebrate my 70th birthday. While researching activities prior to our visit, I came across information on this service and, after contacting the owner settled on one of the tours.
We couldn't have made a better choice.
The driver (and owner) picked us up at our hotel and, after picking up some more participants at various other hotels in Dubuque and Galena, we were off. As we traveled and got to know our fellow wine enthusiasts, Dennis kept up a running commentary on the wineries we were to visit as well as regaling us with the history of the region and the many landmarks along the way.
The price for the trip included wine tastings at each of the wineries, a pizza at the second stop, bottled water, on the bus, and (as an added bonus) Dennis took care of sorting and storing all of our purchases so that all we had to do was enjoy the wines and the scenery. In addition, he had a good working relationship with the wineries we visited and made sure that everything was working smoothly for our activities. At no time were we rushed and we were constantly urged to relax and enjoy ourselves.
Personally, the part most appreciated was the hotel pick-up. We didn't have to worry about a designated driver so everyone had a chance to partake freely of the many wines available without having to be concerned about driving under the influence. And while there are other organizations offering tours, Iowa Wine Tours, Inc. is the only tour that offers this hotel pick up service. Dennis has been conducting these tours for ten years and was the first to do so.
Bottom line is that this is one experience you shouldn't miss if you're in the Dubuque area and we will surely do the tour again when next we visit.

Bachelorette Party was Great!
​I booked this trip for my friends bachelorette party for something to do during the day! We had a blast! I would definitely recommend it! It's a great price, super convenient that they pick you up from your hotel, and we had great pizza!! We can't wait to do it again!
